Guide

Everything a new Pathfinder needs in the first few hours on Idyll: catching basics, capture item tiers, Twining, and how progression actually works.

This page is being built. It is live now so the URL exists and can be linked, but the data table below is still filling in. We publish a section only once its numbers are verified against the official source — no placeholders, no guessed values.

Catching basics

Capture items come in tiers, with the highest tier guaranteeing a capture. Approaching from behind, moving through grass, and weakening a target first all raise your odds. A failed attempt does not consume the item.

Twining

Rather than commanding from the sidelines, you merge with a creature and control it directly. Twining is what unlocks flying, digging and sprinting traversal.

Reading a fight

Combat is real-time. Element matchups affect both raw damage and break damage, so a Break specialist opens the window your DPS then exploits.

Seasons

The game runs on 84-day seasons split into two 42-day halves, with a new activity most weeks — so a creature's value can shift between patches.
